Well a chav is a youth from Britain, typically from a working class background, who likes to wear bling, real or counterfeit designer clothes, is often loud and brash and can often be spotted removing goods without payment from your local Argos shop. The word chav is taken as an insult by those who give it, but a badge of pride by chavs themselves, who, to be honest, are often decent, loyal lads with a good group of friends who just seem on the periphery of society.
