Diana Ross, born Diane on 26th March 1944, is a globally recognised singer
who, during the 1970s and 1980s, was probably the most successful female
artist of her time. Including her work with the Supremes Diana Ross has
recorded sixty one studio albums. Commenting on
their enduring success she stated "I try to choose the songs that really are
basically coming from my heart. I think that through the songs that I
select, people know what's going on in my life." Diana Ross was the recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors in 2007, the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016.
