Al
Pacino was born on 25th April 1940 in New York and is considered to be one
of the greatest actors in film history having won an Oscar, twenty seven
other awards and thirty-seven nominations including an Academy Award, two Tony Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards. Al Pacino dropped out of school
at 17 and went on to turn down roles in Kramer vs Kramer, Apocalypse Now and
Star Wars (Han Solo). Despite these decisions, by 2002 Al Pacino could
command $10m a picture commenting "I hope the perception is that I'm an
actor, I never intended to be a movie star."
